Citizens Safety Academy

This course picks up and builds upon the concepts and techniques covered in Close Range Carbine. We will teach you efficient techniques for handling and shooting the carbine under stressful conditions at realistic ranges likely to be encountered by the armed citizen.

Topics covered include:

• • Firearms safety, including considerations specific to carbine
  • Selection and setup of the carbine
  • Modifications and accessories
  • Malfunction clearance techniques
  • Rifle Manipulations
  • Shooting technique
  • Situationally dependent ready positions
  • Anatomical shooting in relation to the carbine
  • Movement

Students will need a functional AR pattern rifle with a sling, 3 magazines, and 400 rounds of FMJ ammo. Red Dots are recommended but not required. If students have any questions about gear, please contact staff before class at Chris@CitizensSafety.com.
