CSA/Patriot Training Basic Rifle Instructor Course

This rifle instructor certification course is a deep dive into teaching modern carbine skills, designed for those who want to teach with authority and precision. Learn how to teach students proper selection, setup, manipulations, zeroing, marksmanship and operation of the defensive rifle for optimum safety and effectiveness, ensuring you can both perform and instruct with confidence. Whether you’re preparing students for defensive use or refining fundamentals for competition, this class equips you to deliver clear, proven instruction on America’s most popular rifle platforms.

Topics covered include:

• Firearms safety, including considerations specific to rifles
• Proper rifle selection, setup and modification
• Nomenclature and mechanical operation
• Shooting technique, presentation, positions, carrying and sling use
• Loading/reloading techniques
• Care and maintenance
• Adult teaching methods
• Effective coaching
• Training aids

Basic supplies: rifle, 3 magazines, 200 rounds, sling, eye and ear protection, note taking devices. A more detailed list will be sent well before the course.

This course will either meet or surpass the learning objectives of the NRA Rifle Instructor Course.
